At The Center is building a world where criminalized survivors and sex workers are not only safe but sacred - where we remember justice as a practice of care and healing as a birthright.

Just like the land, we hold stories of loss and renewal. We hold memory, transformation & possibility. And roots that run deep in resilience.

Through ecosomatic practice, leadership development & cultural work, we are planting seeds of liberation in the cracks of a crumbling world, turning toward ourselves & one another with the tenderness we were once denied.

Those of us who have lived outside the lines - who have survived what was never meant to be survived - carry the wisdom to reimagine a new world. We are not just dreaming of a future beyond violence; we are practicing it. Together.

our commitment:

At The Center organizes with criminalized survivors of gender-based violence and sex workers whose experiences have been systematically excluded not only from care, but from conversations about safety and justice. As state violence continues to accelerate, movements lose critical insight and strategies when they ignore the people who understand harm, survival, and resistance most intimately.

Our work builds the leadership, care practices, and collective power required for criminalized survivors to be heard, resourced, and centered in the movements and policies that affect our lives. Through survivor-led leadership development, somatic support spaces, and cultural  change work, we are creating the conditions we need to advocate effectively for decriminalization and community based, non-carceral responses to harm.

At The Center exists because our movements for Liberation cannot afford to move forward without our wisdom, and because our people deserve dignity, belonging, and collective care as we lead the way.

May this season remind us how powerful we are when we care for one another. ✨ This year has stretched so many in our communities far beyond what anyone should have to carry, especially criminalized survivors and their families, who continue to navigate the intertwined impacts of gender-based violence, policing, and the long-term impacts of systems that punish rather than protect.  We know these systems were never built for our safety. And yet, our communities keep finding ways to care for each other in spite of them. This offering is one small way we’re choosing care in the midst of all the collective intensity.  At The Center is gathering resources so a small group of criminalized survivors can share gifts and meals with their children this season without added stress. With herbal self care packages for parents and caregivers already donated by partner organizations, every contribution goes directly toward creating ease for families who deserve so much more and any additional support will go toward sustaining the survivor-led healing, organizing, and leadership pathways we’re building for the year ahead. In a world that too often responds to survival with punishment, choosing care is a radical act. Ease and joy are part of healing. And when we resource each other, we strengthen the futures we’re working toward — futures rooted in dignity, interdependence, and collective safety. Through leadership development, embodied practice, creative expression, and cultural change, we advance sex worker- and survivor-led visions of safety, healing, and justice.
