groundwork

groundwork is At The Center’s peer-led leadership development cohort designed for criminalized survivors and sex workers. It was created with the belief that those most impacted by the intersections of systems of violence carry the deepest wisdom about how to transform them - and deserve support developing the tools, resources, and community to lead that work.

This is more than a leadership development training. Groundwork is a space to return to ourselves, to one another, and to the possibility of a future shaped by care. It weaves together somatic practice, political education, and community organizing to grow the leadership capacity of participants in ways that are embodied, relational, and sustainable.

Through a co-designed curriculum, participants build skills in:

• Facilitation & public speaking

• Conflict transformation & community accountability

• Healing justice & somatics

• Movement building & strategy

We believe healing is not separate from organizing. It’s what allows us to stay in the work, build relationships that can hold rupture and repair, and lead movements that are truly capable of transformation.
